Exploring Texas

We were so lucky to have my mom with us for the first few weeks of being here. She not only helped us get settled but we were also able to explore a few places with her as well. We even got experience our first Southern Storm!
One of the best parts of moving to Texas is now my big brother is only 3 hours away! Our very first weekend they drive up to stay with us. It was so good to see them as soon after arriving. We're blessed to at least of one family member within reach. It was fun that my mom was still here as well so we could all be together... we just needed my sisters and we would have been set!

Halloween Festivites Miss Shay got to dress up for Halloween at Preschool but the schools here don't allow costumes so the boys weren't able to wear there's to school but there was plenty of chances to at the ward trunk or treat and then Halloween. We were so excited to have Missy, Dave and the boys still here for Halloween. Some friend also came over and joined us for a fun night of trick or treating around the neighborhood!

What an AMAZING trip! We were fortunate to be able to hop on a plane just days after Christmas this year and take our kids to Southern California. While there we were so excited to be able to visit Mason's birth family. They were amazing tour guides and packed so much into our time there. We were able to have so many awesome experiences! Day 1, we had dinner on the pier and watched the sunset. It was magical. The kids were so excited.  After the sun went down we hopped on the ferry and went over to Balboa Island and got Balboa ice cream bars. It was so fun! It was a long day and by the time we got in the car to make our way back to the hotel the kids were already out! Day 2, we took the kids to DISNEYLAND!  It was so neat to watch the kids experience that atmosphere! They had so much fun and ran from one thing to another.
