Grandma Cookie & Arlene


Oh man, we just had the loveliest time with these two gems. They drove all the way from Utah for spend time with us. We couldn't soak them up enough! We did so much while they were here. We were able to go down to the Stockyards in Fort Worth, The Japanese Gardens, the Zoo, Magnolia Market in Waco & we even beautified my yard with their green thumbs! They we were even here over Mother's Day which was so special. They are very few people we love as much as these two. We felt so blessed to have them here, they brought love into our new home and made it feel more warm. It was sooooo incredibly hard to see them go.

Halloween Festivites Miss Shay got to dress up for Halloween at Preschool but the schools here don't allow costumes so the boys weren't able to wear there's to school but there was plenty of chances to at the ward trunk or treat and then Halloween. We were so excited to have Missy, Dave and the boys still here for Halloween. Some friend also came over and joined us for a fun night of trick or treating around the neighborhood!

What an AMAZING trip! We were fortunate to be able to hop on a plane just days after Christmas this year and take our kids to Southern California. While there we were so excited to be able to visit Mason's birth family. They were amazing tour guides and packed so much into our time there. We were able to have so many awesome experiences! Day 1, we had dinner on the pier and watched the sunset. It was magical. The kids were so excited.  After the sun went down we hopped on the ferry and went over to Balboa Island and got Balboa ice cream bars. It was so fun! It was a long day and by the time we got in the car to make our way back to the hotel the kids were already out! Day 2, we took the kids to DISNEYLAND!  It was so neat to watch the kids experience that atmosphere! They had so much fun and ran from one thing to another.
