Happy 6th Birthday Aiden

My middle is turning 6. Aside from putting us through the longest year of my life when he was four (we both survived🤗), he has been one of the warmest parts of my heart. He is authentic, hilarious, tender when needed, smart, friendly, intuitive and stubborn as all get out.  His birth mother had "Aiden" picked out for his middle name when she was carrying him because it meant little fire... when she decided to place she let us know the name she had picked out but let us know she did not expect us to use it... although as soon as I heard the name Aiden, I knew it was his. I never knew the meaning would prove to be so true. He is an amazing little soul... we may have had a rough few years of figuring out how he processes the world but once we did there was no stopping us. I love him with every ounce of me. He was the first of my children to really test my patience to its core in return he was also the first to teach me so much about being the mom I wanted to be.  I will forever love him for that. He is one of my best friends. No one makes me laugh harder than that sweet boy and his view of life.
I am still in awe that nearly 6 yrs ago a young girl sacrificed her heart to get Aiden "home"

Halloween

Halloween Festivites Miss Shay got to dress up for Halloween at Preschool but the schools here don't allow costumes so the boys weren't able to wear there's to school but there was plenty of chances to at the ward trunk or treat and then Halloween. We were so excited to have Missy, Dave and the boys still here for Halloween. Some friend also came over and joined us for a fun night of trick or treating around the neighborhood!

What an AMAZING trip! We were fortunate to be able to hop on a plane just days after Christmas this year and take our kids to Southern California. While there we were so excited to be able to visit Mason's birth family. They were amazing tour guides and packed so much into our time there. We were able to have so many awesome experiences! Day 1, we had dinner on the pier and watched the sunset. It was magical. The kids were so excited.  After the sun went down we hopped on the ferry and went over to Balboa Island and got Balboa ice cream bars. It was so fun! It was a long day and by the time we got in the car to make our way back to the hotel the kids were already out! Day 2, we took the kids to DISNEYLAND!  It was so neat to watch the kids experience that atmosphere! They had so much fun and ran from one thing to another.
